Dates are worked out for 2027. Where a date differs by country, it says so.
How to use it
Plan a month ahead, post on the day.
- 1. Circle your moments. Pick the dates that fit your audience, then add your own launches, sales and events.
- 2. Work back a month. Make the content for each moment a few weeks early, so you're never rushing on the day.
- 3. Fill the gaps with your season. Quieter months are perfect for mood-led posts that match the season. Our 30 ideas for when you have nothing to post help too.
- 4. Batch the big ones. For December, use our Christmas posting plan.
Questions
Planning your year
What should be on a social media content calendar?
The holidays and moments your audience cares about, the seasons, your own launches and sales, and a rough rhythm of post types. Start with the dates on this page, then add your own.
How far ahead should I plan my posts?
Plan the big moments a month or two ahead, so you have time to make the content, and plan your week's posts a week ahead. Christmas and Black Friday content is best started in October.
Why do some dates differ by country?
Mother's Day and Father's Day fall on different dates around the world, and seasons are opposite in the northern and southern hemispheres. Switch the hemisphere above to see your seasons, and check local dates for anything marked with a country.
Do I need to post for every holiday?
No. Pick the ones that make sense for your audience and your business. A few well-planned posts beat a rushed post for every awareness day.
